Ochre Studio, Kosovo, 2026

Nominator: Fitore Syla

Nominator's statement

I am nominating Studio Ochre for the BIG SEE Perspective Awards because they have created a well-designed and meaningful object. Their BORO chair draws inspiration from the form of the brutalist "Boro Ramiz" building in Pristina, successfully translating architectural elements into a functional piece of furniture. I believe it represents a thoughtful and creative approach to design, making it truly deserving of recognition.

PALLAT PRESENT

‘Pallat Present’ is an exploration of our identity through functional sculptural furniture. This collection signifies a new form of dialogue with the past and a powerful artifact that reflects the complexities of our shared narrative and urban identity. Art is expression, and our collection is expression that finds functionality. We want to embrace architecture with the preservation of history: our collection is homage, it is criticism, it is something to be involved in. There is (no) tension in our collection, just as there is no tension in the Palace of Youth itself.

NOT SO SOFT

Our first ever collection explores the tension between comfort, structure, and materiality. elamp & ecase. crafted from 3mm stainless steel and plexiglass, offering a gentle light in a very strong stainless steel body.

RESIDENTIAL PROJECT
Our latest project, a completed Residential Project presents a warm modern interior informed by late-modernist principles and contemporary European craft, exploring timelessness and a quiet pursuit of calm throughout the home.
